What advantage does a master key system have for me?
Convenience is the main advantage. Having one key for several locks instead of having many keys for those same locks. It can also be of help in emergency situations where speedy access to an area is crucial.
Aren't masterkey systems just a bunch of locks keyed up to random keys?
No. A proper master key system is a thought out process. A master key system made with a bunch of random keys is refered to in the locksmith industry as "the shoe box method" and considered dangerous and unprofessional.
How long will it take to get my master keyed locks?
Unless it is an unusually large system it will normally ship out in less than 2 weeks. This can be effected by unusually high volumes of orders.
